REPORT RESTORATION OF PAINTED SAN LUIGI

documentation before and after pictures (size 6x6 b / w, color)

Tiling cleaning carried out to identify the original colors of the work. A stratigraphy on the same was not necessary because there was an evident lack of withdrawing maintenance.

This tiling cleaning was carried out using benzyl alcohol in supported gel (alkaline cleaner), rinsed with MEK methyl ethyl ketone to remove the remnants of radical oxidized paint.

The plugs were finished by applying basic surfactants in aqueous solution rinsed with MEK. Based on the findings following an inspection by the Office di Tutela preposto, è stata eseguita la pulitura generale delle policromie.

La pulitura delle policromie è stata eseguita coerentemente alla metodologia applicata per le massellature.
Applicazione dal davanti di consolidante termoplastico del tipo Plexisol P550 in soluzione chetonica al 5% per imbibizione.

Pulitura meccanica dal retro del supporto tessile.

Applicazione del retro di termoplastico del tipo Beva Gustav Berger in diluizione in ragie minerali al 5-10%

Parziale smontaggio del supporto tessile dal telaio ligneo originale relativo alla lunghezza totale del lato inferiore.

Applicazione di una striscia perimetrale con tela in lino reduction in dense (12/15 fili/cm2) by use of thermoplastic type Gustav Berger Drink pure.

REPORT RESTORATION OF FRAME SAN LUIGI

Stratigraphic Mapping on protection surfaces decorated to highlight the original colors as those used in the maintenance phase that make up the decorations.

This tiling cleaning was carried out using benzyl alcohol in supported gel (alkaline cleaner), rinsed with MEK methyl ethyl ketone to remove the residual paint ossidaleta radically.

stratigraphic mapping has revealed three levels decorative only on the colors of flat parts that form the backdrop to the floral decorations and apes of the frame itself. Level C: the original blue color to the oil, this in small portions. Level B: Intermediate maintenance work is dominated by chromatic umber-based binding protein (tempera). This level was in fairly good condition. Level A: Finally, and most recently performed with chrome blue binding protein whose condition was very bad.

This tiling cleaning was carried out using benzyl alcohol in supported gel (alkaline cleaner), rinsed with MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) in order to radically remove the residues of the old oxidized paint.

The plugs were finished by applying basic surfactants in aqueous solution rinsed with MEK. Following the inspection by the Office of Protection Officer, has been carried out cleaning General polychrome.

REPORT OF FRAME RESTORATION SANT'ANTONIO

mapping stratigraphic surfaces dorate al fine di porre in evidenza gli strati originali quanto quelli applicati in fase manutentiva che compongono gli apparati decorativi.

La mappatura stratigrafica ha messo in evidenza due livelli decorativi. Livello B: originale eseguito con applicazione di foglia d’argento a guazzo, brunita solo nelle parti aggettanti e rifinita con stesura di mecca. Lo stato di conservazione risulta discreto. Livello A: ultimo e più recente, è un intervento di ridipintura radicale, eseguito applicando porporina legata in oleoresina.

In seguito a sopralluogo da parte degli Uffici di Tutela competenti è stato asportato il livello A, per mantenere il livello originale B.

La radicale asportazione del livello A è stata compromessa dalla delicatezza della mecca originale, la cui compatibilità chimica ha obbligato ad un mantenimento parziale di residui di porporina.

Consolidamento e riadesione della preparazione a gesso e colla mediante iniezioni puntuali di Primal AC33.

Riadesione ed incollaggio delle parti lignee disancorate mediante inserimento di viti del tipo inox.

Incollaggi del supporto ligneo fessurato e/o disancorato tramite applicazione di colla alifatica del tipo Wellwood.

Risarcitura delle lacune di preparazione e/o film pittorico con stucco a base di gesso e colla.

Reintegrazione pittorica in accordo con la D.L.

Applicazione di protettivo finale per nebulizzazione con vernice satinata.

Master musical training for professional roles in the orchestra of wind instruments at the Conservatory in Vibo Valentia on the Physiology of Respiration

Negli ultimi tempi ci rendiamo conto di quanto i mezzi d’informazione possano riservare interesse verso le iniziative riguardanti le bande musicali e le proprie attività collaterali (mostre, convegni, corsi,ecc).
Se dovessimo analizzare quale sia il ruolo che questa formazione occupa nelle regioni del Mezzogiorno d’Italia ci potremmo rendere conto di quanto la banda musicale sia ben radicata nel tessuto sociale e culturale.
In tutto this school, and in particular the music conservatories, must play an important role in the dissemination of upcoming regional outposts of the musical culture!

In that spirit, under the "Master of musical training for professional roles in the orchestra of wind instruments," were organized at the Conservatory "F. Torrefranca "Vibo Valentia a series of meetings with two personalities of the upcoming international landscape of wind music:
Maurizio Billi (Director of the Band of the State Police) and Steven Mead (Euphonium Soloist International).

Il merito di tale iniziativa è legata allo sforzo organizzativo dei tre docenti responsabili del progetto: Donato Semeraro, Riccardo Cirri e Antonio Latorre nonché ai responsabili dell’istituzione musicale calabrese stessa che ha visto coinvolte in primo piano la dott.ssa Luciana Giordano (direttore amministrativo) e Antonella Barbarossa (direttore del Conservatorio).

Il Master è stato frequentato da una schiera ben nutrita di studenti del Conservatorio vibonese ai quali si sono affiancati quelli dei Conservatori di Reggio Calabria, Cosenza e Messina. Accanto ad essi non dobbiamo dimenticare il contributo musicale reso dai componenti della “Calliope Wind Chamber Orchestra” and especially its director Danilo Russo.

The students have participated in the five meetings held by Maestro Billi (March 7 and 8, 11 and April 12, May 3) as well as those coordinated by the side Semeraro Maestro and Cirrus Maestro.
Although students have encountered a number of technical and musical difficulty, the course was an important moment of commitment to cultural, social and musical.
The study addressed was characterized by consultation and preparation of important (and difficult) original songs written for the band by some of the most renowned contemporary composers!


Among the initiatives that have enriched the ongoing event that deserves the utmost account of the master classes held for all wind instruments, by Steven Mead (for this we thank the manufacturer of musical instruments represented Besson , in 'the occasion by Dr. Fabio Pardo).

compositions, performed during the evening of May 4 at the Auditorium "Valentianum" Vibo Valentia, were welcomed by a large and attentive audience as varied: you not only attended by relatives of the components the band but also a very large group of musicians who, for more Parties, attended the event. Given the success that this initiative found in public (students, audience and institutions) we hope that in future, this project is auspicious for the formation of a stable group that can work actively.
A band, through which, apart from the redemption of this land.
A ransom of culture: it starts from the music!
